Eskil MC SWAP meet 2013

You never know what you’re going to find in a Swap meet! Many guys had clear out their garage and used the chance to put their old MC stuff in front of hundreds of buyers. A wide variety of old Motorcycle items from the sellers as well many enthusiasts show up in Eskil Swap Meet on Saturday. Another great day together with good friends and funny bikers, I quote one of them:

“I can resist anything except temptation”

The sidecar projects continue….

For those of you, who follow this blog, maybe you remember that I earlier have mention about the sidecar going to be hooked up on my Flathead -47.

The first sidecar body I bought was full of rust covered by a lot of Bondo. This was made by a real optimist, who has used all the entire tricks. After sanding the body, I realized it was not too much left so I have to find another one ….Now almost nine months later and a lot of work behind with the "new" body, it’s ready to go to the painter.

Seeburg 1947 "Trashcan" jukebox

My friend “Tvåa” have looked forward to this day…. the day when the Seeburg 1947 "Trashcan"  jukebox should be delivered, after it has been fully restored.
It all started in February this year, when we have a trip together to the place  “Mel's Drive-In”. We find a "Trashcan" for sale in one of the members home, but it was in bad condition and needed somebody who could give it the right care and passion.

It was not easy to move this heavy music machine up to the 3^rd floor, but with good technic, human power and intelligence, we fulfill…..without any damages. 

This will be a great addition to his home and will fit in with his other odd parts from the art deco era. It is not only a nice decorator piece, together with the matching original wall box, it sounds great.  

It all started in February this year, we find a "Trashcan" for sale.

 

 

 

 

Ekens Gassers Swap Meet 2012

Last weekend I visit Ekens Gassers Swap meet in Stockholm with my friends Stefan and Chrille.  It’s a long trip to go from where we live, a very early morning, started from home at 3.00 a.m. but it was worth it, lots of goodies as usual. This Swap has a great mixture of people, both bikers and hot-rodder’s as well the range of good old parts.

Pontiac Firebird -68

Pontiac Firebird was in 1968 offered in five separate versions and engines alternative. My buddy Dicks Firebird is the hardtop coupe version with a four-barrel 326, giving 285 horsepower. He bought and imports this car from US, it was ready to go for the road. First it have to be approved by the Swedish authority for vehicle inspection, to have a registration certificate.

Than it all started, the oil pump gave up on it´s very first trip on Swedish roads, you all know what can happen than. Now he has to find a new engine for replacement….Than it start to fail miserably and everything's gone straight to hell..... He find a lot of others to be take care of......

Dick is a real optimist as well very skillful in what he’s doing, now he working on to exchange all sheet metal on the car including widening the fenders….More to come!
