These pics were taken recently in connection to a bike and car meeting. This lucky owner packed up this newly arrived box with a new Rev Tech motor?!….or.... what.....an old stroked Knucklehead with Panhead cylinders and also prepered for duce carbs (Linkert´s). Looks really hot. For sure a happy owner, he looked like a child on Christmas Eve!

Coupe Devils Rod & Kustom Bonanza Show 2012

As earlier year this was another wild and crazy Bonanza show! This year I went there on my 1945 Knuckle Bobber, together with my Pal Dick “The Generals ” on his 1952 Panhead Bobber! Here are some pics from our first stop, close to the border and from Coupe Devils Rod & Kustom Bonanza Show 2012, northeast of Oslo, Norway.

Stefan´s -32 Bonneville Racer

Another garage visit, this time to my Buddy Stefan, to check up his -32 Bonneville Racer project. This Roadster has influences from late 1940-1950, Stefan shows me with great vitality and energy all his ideas to be fulfilled. The engine is an Oldsmobile Rocket 324 cui from -54, with an NOS Edelbrock OL 396 manifold with new 3x2 Stromberg 97. Lots of good old parts like Ford 1940 rims, original Lincoln brakes, Bomber seats and a Ford Banjo Steering Wheel among others, an old very nice Racer is reborn…

My new bicycle

One of my friends living in California cleaned up in his garage and he offers me this bike. It’s perfect when I have to go fast down to the garage…

During this expedition I have reflect, why I’m as crazy about this old bikes as I am.

More than one time I have noticed the project run one step back rather the other way around. Without good contacts and friends, new and old, as well the old parts I had kept in my garage for years, this bike should not have been ready…at least not in this condition.

The feeling I have now after I spent lots of time in my garage and can fire up this old bike.…is fantastic, this is more than just a hobby; it’s a way of life.  

 

Now I have to concentrate on the sidecar….!

The speedometer has been restored by Perry Ruiter, in every detail perfect….

The Flathead 1947 project has now the missing clutch.....

The works going on and now the clutch side is almost there. Today I also start to mount a very nice police siren I found on E-Bay…….The flowing lines of the siren are nice formed into a whole to the shape of the frame.
