Elmia Custom Motor Show 2013

The theme for this year was “Hot Rod and Custom” in Elmia Custom Motor Show. In the show, it was possible to hanging around a great mixture of MC, Classics, Customs and Old-timers…..and some Babes as well. Everything from a real monster called “Il Drago Ruggente”, under hood a V12 engine from a Caproni-bomber back in 1940, with a cylinder volume of 27 liters (1650 CID) with an output of 750 HP….. to the famous Metallica Rocker James Hatfield’s amazing Lincoln Zephyr -37, created by Rick Dore.

Improved to be a "Café racer"

This 1952 Ariel 600 VB half century old side valve machine looks great. The original black paint has got a fantastic patina. My friend Dick who owns this one has improved it to be a “Café racer” just to reverse the handlebar. In the early morning of the Brotherhoods Swap Meet for couple of weeks ago, he decided to find out if somebody was interested to take over the bike, because he has too many other projects  ….. In spite of the cold weather and the fact he probably will be separated from this beauty, he looks happy!

Another day with excellent weather, lots of people in good mood and racing spirit show up to be entertained or to race by them self in Färnsjörepan 2013. 

The sidecar projects continues

The sidecar body has been back from the painter for a couple of weeks. Now all parts are ready, the chassis have been painted for a while. I have now mounted the windshield and the cover as well the spare wheel carrier and the footrest. Fender and the lamps come next….Then soon, the only remaining is to hook up the sidecar to my Flathead 1947 and go for a ride….
